Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald Kennedy (1890-1995) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of John Francis (a politician) and Mary Josephine (Hannon) Fitzgerald. She married Joseph Patrick Kennedy, financier and diplomat, on October 7, 1914. She was a graduate of Covenant of the Sacred Heart School in Boston, the Blumenthal Academy, and Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart. She was the mother of former President John F.
